'Family Night' at Kenny's!

Greetings all! It was 'family night' in that it was well, mostly 'family', well, the regulars...

Bran-DONE presented me with 3 cards and asked me which order I thought he should sing them in. I told him, then he gave them to Marky Mark and asked him to shuffle them! Uh, wtf... So, Marky Mark shuffled them, and guess what?! They were in the exact SAME order as what I told him he should do! From then on it was coined "Serendipitous Shuffling Fate"..

...sealed w/a kiss!

Ryan's reaction to the number of cards that were set up on the table, waiting for his own 'Serendipitous Shuffling' went something like this:

"Holy Sh*t!"

During Ryan's opening number, "Plush", John D. and I had a conversation...sort of
...about 'STP':

ME
"What is that? Some kind of drug or something?"

JOHN D.
"Stone. Temple. Pilots."

ME

"Ooohhhhh, yeah, right..."

JOHN D.

"Just what the heck does that mean, 'when the dogs begin to smell her.'"?

ME

"Beats me."

JOHN D.
"Is 'STP' a drug, ah ha ha ha ha ha ha!!!!!!"

Anyway... Ben, L.G. and Shon were all in good spirits! Ben even wrote in my new little purple notebook "Ben was amazing from the moment he walked in he owned Kennys!" Modest too...lol!

and, enjoying Kenny's cheese fries for the first time in a long time.

- turns out they opened up the kitchen for Rockstar's comedy show beforehand!

Humongous new menu

Matt C. sang us some Hendrix, Christine Kern sang her 'signature' Bobby McGee; 'Kanye East' (Bran-DONE) sang "Fly Me to The Moon"...hey, wait a minute - THAT wasn't in his 'Serendipitous Shuffle'! Turns out that someone else had already picked "Tangled Up in Blue"...ah, ok then, carry on...

Marky Mark sang his 'signature' "Oh Boy"; Patrick sang another Marky Mark 'signature song' "Folsom Prison Blues"; Showtime Shon entertained with "Imagine"; Ryan, introducing me as "The Paparrazzi", called me up, and I tried another new one, "Dream a Little Dream". Turns out, that was my
96th song title w/Crash Course folks! That's right! Joe C. had said that he thought I might close to singing 100 songs off the Crash Course list, so I did a count, and he's just about right!

Stay tuned for a very special 100th song from the blogstress!
(Details to follow...)

One of the 'Rockstars of comedy' performed during the break - made a very funny Guitar Hero joke! I don't have his name, but here he is w/Richard & Christine:

Anyway, Matt C. sang "Livin' on a Prayer"; Christine Kern sang "You Outta Know"; Bran-DONE tore it up w/"Creep"; Marky Mark sang "Hound Dog"; Oscar sang "Simple Man"; Rockstar sang some Santana"; Showtime Shon and the CCK band gave some awesome harmonies with "Heard It Through the Grapevine"; and Rockin' Robin and John D. sang a duet of "Heartbreaker".

The Reverend Colin made his entrance to 'Darth Vader' music - compliments of Ryan;

Natalia TORE. IT. UP. w/"Proud Mary"...

Nick sang "867-5309"...

...and Leah sang "Somethin' to Talk About", Oscar sang "Zombie"; and Ryan closed out the night w/the little sung "Down", by 311 -- way cool...

While making new friends...

...Colin called for Ryan's, uh, resignation?

Which was signed by many...

...or, by many people w/the same name as Colin...

Props to Ron K. for easing the knots in the blogstress' back from all the note-taking... He says "what, do you sleep standing up?" Guess I had a lotta knots...

...and until Sunday folks, singing out...

The Blogstress ;)

QUOTES CORNER:

-Kristina: "Due to Alans' broken foot, we're going to have to carry Alan around..."
-Alan: "That's why it's called 'carry-oke'" (Insert groan here...)

-Kristina: "Ron K., you're drinking Pabst, through a straw?"
-Ron K.: "Why not? It's a soft drink!"

"Miss Robin if you're nasty..."
